OFFICE 313 was approached by Slo flo to design its first flagship Pilates studio.

Nestled in the heart of Kuwait City, the Pilates studio was designed with serenity and tranquility in mind.

Slo Flo seeks to serve clients that seek an escape from the hustle and bustle of city-life.

SloFlo’s design is characterized by clean lines, neutral tones, and a minimalist aesthetic. Curtain walls provide ample natural light thereby complimenting the practice of Pilates. The layout of Slo Flo provides a sense of harmony within the space.

Programmatically, the space is divided into three main zones with each zone serving a specific purpose . Dedicated zones for mat exercises, reformer machines, and specialized Pilates equipment are strategically arranged to optimize the use of space whilst also maintaining an open and uncluttered feel.

The spaces are meticulously crafted to ensure privacy during individual sessions whilst also maintaining the sense of community within group classes.

The project’s material palette consists of Moca cream lime stone , white terrazzo cast and wooden parquet.

The main design challenge was to seamlessly integrate all the equipment and machines without obstructing the skyline view. This was extremely challenging given the limited footprint and fixed conventional equipment arrangements.
